Getting Involved with BONOS -
Are you interested in joining the Bonington Players? We welcome everyone whatever their skills, interests or background. There is no need to be an accomplished performer, set designer or costume maker in order to become involved – all you need is interest and enthusiasm. Whether you want to perform on stage, produce, direct, design sets or costumes, manage props, work on stage crew, lighting, sound or front of house, the opportunity is there.
We present three productions a season at the Bonington Theatre and there are also informal workshops, play readings, theatre visits and social events. We meet every Tuesday throughout the year, except for a short summer break and even shorter Christmas break, and every Thursday throughout the season from August to April. These meetings are at our rehearsal and workshop facility at the Old People’s Welfare Centre in Arnold where we have worked in a mutually beneficial partnership since the group was founded in 1963.
You are very welcome to come along to visit us and you will find a warm welcome from our members. Please call our Business Manager, number at the top of the page, so that we can make sure that there is somebody available to talk to you and show you round. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and meet people over a cup of coffee during the evening.
